"Before I ever met you, I never knew that my heart could love so hard…"
Now, I’m not condoning these types of disfunctional relationships, but obviously everyone loves listening to songs about them, right? I mean we’re girls. Sadly, we are why Taylor Swift is as popular as she is today with her break-up songs.
I’m not even that big on this type of music and I am ALL ABOUT this song. Give’r a listen.
…And if you liked the sound as much as I did, check out SOHN’s Sound Cloud. and Bank’s too. Banks is definitely the more lively page.
This will never get old and no one can argue that.
I don’t care what his name is now (don’t worry, I do actually know) or what movie he’s in or if he’s getting his hot chocolate from Alicia Keys at a diner. This will be one of his greatest contributions to the world and it’s hard for me to not put this song on every time open my iTunes.
"N the Traffic"- Droop-E ft. Nite Jewel and J. Stalin
An excellent new track from Droop-E, son of E-40 aka 40 Water. Definitely not what I was expecting when I clicked play, its a lot more slowed down, refined, softer, than his father’s ultra hyphy party shit. Not that a little E-40 doesn’t have its own time and place. This beat has a trippy, Clams Casino vibe going on. No comment on J. Stalin’s questionable name choice.
Second, isn’t it strange that we now live in an age of two music videos? Artists have started releasing a “lyrics video” along with the single, then following up with the official video later. However, the lyrics videos are usually just that, stylized words on a screen. This is the first one I’ve seen that features the actual artists. I mean, this is a music video in itself! Honestly, I didn’t realize that it wasn’t the actual video until it said “Official Video Coming Soon” at the end. (Note: I really like this video. The whole world should be in black and white with red and gold accents. Plus, cool shots of champagne bottles poppin!)
I mean the two videos approach makes sense, in a time when a shit load of the music we listen to is on Youtube. It used to be fans who would make their own lyrics videos and post them before the official video was released. Music labels had the annoying habit of shutting those down, so there were always a million for any given song, and it was always a crapshoot which would work and which wouldn’t. Well, at least the labels recognized the demand and started making their own. Touché. Guess they aren’t all evil.
I’ve only listened to the song once and I feel… just ok about it.
Trinindad James- “All Gold Everything (remix ft. T.I., Young Jeezy and 2 Chainz)
So apparently I’m late to the party on this remix but it has 2 Chainz you guys! Everything that comes out of his mouth makes me happy. I was really upset that we saw literally NONE of him on The Grammy’s telecast. Except for like a second when he was behind someone on the red carpet. Don’t the people who run that shit know who we want to see?? 2 Chainz. Doing all the stuff. and Prince. And Wiz. And Sting. That’s it. Ok fine, and Rihanna. Did anyone else catch the death stare she gave her bodyguard after he stepped on her dress on the red carpet? Epic.
Related: I can’t find a torrent for “Based on a TRU Story (Chopped Not Slopped)” and it’s really stressing me out. I need this in my life. Is there a remix to I’m Diffrent??!?
